Who is Josh?
Hi, I’m Joshua Weh (way), thanks for stopping by! I’ve been in love with the drums since the fifth grade when I saw the sunlight shining through the band room window reflecting off a metal snare drum; my Hallelujah Moment.
But learning to play didn’t come easy. I struggled for years trying to grasp the basics, frustrated by the traditional way drums are often taught in school band programs and many private lessons. My growth felt painfully slow! Finally I decided to go back to the basics and found some great teachers who truly understood me. With their help, I finally built a solid foundation, and it changed everything.
That journey sparked something deeper in me; a passion to help others avoid the same slow, confusing path I took. I believe that while there are no shortcuts in mastering a craft, there are smarter ways to learn, approaches that prioritize clarity, connection, and progress.
Now, I walk alongside my students not just as a teacher, but as a coach— offering accountability, encouragement, and a holistic approach to learning. My goal is to help you build a strong and unique foundation, unlock your full potential, and get where you want to go faster and with more joy.
I welcome students of all types of brains and learning styles. Whether you're just starting out or been playing for awhile and want to hone your groove, I’ll meet you where you are and help you grow with patience, creativity, and support.
